The State of Arizona does not issue Single Status Certificates. You will need to prepare a Single Status Affidavit that will be signed by you and notarized by an Arizona notary public. An Affidavit of Single Status is a sworn statement in which you attest that you are single and free to marry. We recommend that you ask you fiance(e) to find out if your affidavit needs to be in any specific form or contain some specific additional details. The requirements differ from country to country.
Your Single Status Affidavit must be properly notarized. Ensure the notary includes the notarial statement (jurat). Documents that only contain the notary’s signature and stamp, without the proper notarial certificate, will be rejected. Remote online notarizations are also eligible for apostilles, but the notarial statement must include the following language: "This remote online notarization involved the use of communication technology."

California
California apostille requirements for Single Status Certificates and Affidavits
If you’re planning to get married abroad, you’ll likely be asked to provide proof that you’re legally free to marry.
In California, you have two options to meet this requirement:
(1) A Single Status Certificate issued by the county, or
(2) A Single Status Affidavit signed by you and notarized by a California notary public.
Option 1:
In California, a Single Status Certificate - also called a Letter of No Record or Certificate of No Impediment - is an official document stating that no marriage record exists for an individual in a specific county. This certificate is issued by the county clerk’s office in the county where the person currently resides. County Registrars and Recorders
Option 2:
You can prepare a Single Status Affidavit, which you will sign and have notarized by a California notary public. This affidavit is a sworn statement confirming that you are single and free to marry.

Your affidavit must be properly notarized with a California jurat. Documents that only have a notary’s signature and stamp - without a proper notarial certificate - will be rejected.
Remotely notarized documents: California law requires a person to appear personally before a notary public to obtain notarial acts like acknowledgments or jurats. This means the party must be physically present before the notary public. A video image or other form of non-physical representation is not a personal appearance in front of a notary public under current California State law.
Electronically notarized documents: California notaries public are authorized under current law to perform notarizations on documents electronically as long as all the requirements for a traditional paper-based notarial act are met, including the use of a seal for all but two specific documents used in real estate transactions.

The State of Colorado does not provide official Single Status Certificates. Instead, you’ll need to create a Single Status Affidavit - a sworn declaration stating that you are currently single and legally eligible to marry - which must be signed and notarized by a Colorado notary public.
Because requirements can differ depending on the country, it’s a good idea for your fiancé(e) to confirm whether a specific format or additional information is necessary for the affidavit to be accepted.

Connecticut
Connecticut apostille requirements for Single Status Statements and Affidavits
In The State of Connecticut there are two ways to obtain a Single Status document:
Option 1:
If you are a Connecticut resident, you may request a ‘No Record of Marriage Statement’ from the State Vital Records Office: Complete the Application to Request a ‘No Record of Marriage Statement’ and mail it or submit it in person to the State Vital Records Office. You must also provide a valid Connecticut Driver’s License or Connecticut Non-Driver ID card with your request, along with a $20 fee.
This document can be issued only to current Connecticut residents as verified by the address on the requester's Connecticut driver's license or Connecticut non-driver ID.
Option 2:
You can prepare a Single Status Affidavit - a sworn declaration stating that you are currently single and legally eligible to marry - which must be signed and notarized by a Connecticut notary public.
