Arkansas apostille requirements for powers of attorney
Powers of attorney must be properly notarized by an Arkansas notary public and must contain an acknowledgment with each signature on the document.
It is essencial that the Arkansas Notary Public includes a notarial statement so the apostille request is processed in a timely manner. Documents that only contain the notary’s signature and stamp, without the proper notarial statement, will be rejected.
If the Power of attorney is drafted in a foreign language, it must be accompanied by an English translation, with a translator's affidavit. The translators signature must be properly notarized.
Remotely (electronically) notarized powers of attorney cannot be apostilled.
